I'm so glad you've stopped by my blog! I am a Women's Minister and a former Pastor's Wife. I love finding God in my regular-everyday-stuff. I struggle with keeping up with the laundry, I love blogging, and my kids are my first line of ministry. I am recently widowed. So God and I are on a brand new journey as I try to find peace and understanding. Please grab a cup of coffee and let's get to know one another as we journey on our faith walk together.

His Words Sunday

This morning my heart is burdened to pray for someone I don't even know.  My Mom has recently shared with me a situation about one of her co-worker's family members.  As she shared with me pieces of the story, I realized this young Mother needs people on their knees... praying for her.  She is in a part of the hospital that will not allow visitors so she is probably very lonely.

It reminded me of a verse I read this week in my One Year Bible and I have selected it today for our His Words Sunday.  Reach out today to someone who might be lonely and alone.  Pray for those around you, even if you don't know them - for 2 are better than 1 and a 3 stranded cord can not be quickly broken!

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (ESV)

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.  For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow.  But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!

Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone?  And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him - a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Thank you so much Penny for making this a part of His Word Sunday. You are so faithful to His Word and means a lot to me. This is one of my favorite verses. I can truly say that I do not ever remember being lonely, but you do and I thank you for bringing this to the forefront. He is a shelter in the storm and a great high tower that we can run to. Oh, what would we do without Him?
