Happy Holiday Weekend everyone!!!
This week has been a very full week! I'm so thankful that a relaxing weekend with my family and friends is in my future!
This week I was driving my sweet Mommy Mini-van with the air conditioning blowing in my face - stressing about the issue of the moment (I've already forgotten what it even was!) and I saw a couple sitting at a bus stop talking on a nearby pay phone (I didn't even know those things still existed!). My heart went out to them. I didn't see a car anywhere near them. The woman was the one on the phone and her head was in her hand. The young man was leaning on the pay phone stand - obviously trying to tell her what to say to the person on the other end of the phone.
They looked sad and in despair. I quickly prayed for them. I figured that their conversation more than likely had something to do with finances. They are at a bus stop, no car in sight, they obviously had no cell phone.
I immediately realized that whatever "hardships" I was dealing with in that moment were minor. I thanked God for my incredible car, for air conditioning, for my BlackBerry laying beside me in my console, for my healthy kids sleeping in the backseat and for a wonderful loving husband that had put some running around cash in my purse earlier that morning.
Later in the week I went jogging and hear this song coming through my iPod. I know I programmed it into my purple little Shuffle - but for some reason - I REALLY heard it for the first time this week and it totally ministered to me. I hope it does the same for you.

God is so good. I am so very thankful for everything He has blessed us with. Especially for sending me a friend like you.
Perspective is an amazing thing...Don't you love when you are handed glasses that help you see things in a new way!
soo glad to hear i am not the only crazy person praying for strangers on the street! thank you for sharing this!!
Me too! Think of all of us praying for those who may not have anyone else to pray for them! We are blessed to have the privilege of praying for others.
Reminds me of a saying "there is always someone worse off than you are". In fact, we are so blessed.
Have a blessed Lord's Day :)
I too pray for people I see..wondering what is going on in their lives. One doesn't have to look far to see and realize that God has blest us beyond measure and I ask why Father have you chosen to bless me so?? His answer, because I love and I can.. Wow !! Never forget that we are blest so that we can become a blessing. Pay it forward..
