I'm so glad you've stopped by my blog! I am a Women's Minister and a former Pastor's Wife. I love finding God in my regular-everyday-stuff. I struggle with keeping up with the laundry, I love blogging, and my kids are my first line of ministry. I am recently widowed. So God and I are on a brand new journey as I try to find peace and understanding. Please grab a cup of coffee and let's get to know one another as we journey on our faith walk together.

What's was your favorite thing about school?

Yesterday my husband & I, along with our new 1st Grade daughter met with her new teacher.  I love how her school does "home visits" before school starts.  It's a great time just to visit on a personal level with the teacher and allows Jordan to interact with her before "the first day of school!"

During our meeting, she asked Jordan several questions...
her favorite food, her favorite color, and then ended with what was her favorite thing about school.

Jordan's answer was "Craft Time."
(don't you just love how kids answer questions when put on the spot?)

As we're all gearing up for another year of school - I thought it might be fun to ask the same question...

What was your favorite thing about school?  And... do you still like that particular thing?

Okay - I'll go first... I loved science!  I know, it seems strange!  And for many years, I worked as a Chemist.  But I also loved drill team!  And to this day, I LOVE dancing with my husband!  We love dancing a country two-step together any day of the week!

So....

What was your favorite thing about school?
and
Do you still like that same thing?

Oh!  And check out this blog - it's great too!

I would have to say that photography and gym were my 2 favorites. An athletic artist? Guess I am a bit strange! :-)
SO cool you love Science...I wanted to get into it and love it, but it just wasn't my thing. As for dancing - I love it too! I miss going to the Contra Dances in Northern Cali - those were FUN!

It's dorky but I really enjoyed math in school. I was always just really good at it.

I just hopped over your way from Robin's Blog Hop :)

Well, I know this comes as no surprise to any of my family. It was English of course. And my favorite part about English was two-fold. I loved diagramming sentences (do they even do that any more)? AND.... I loved reading, preparing, and presenting book reports. I know, I was a nerd then too. Yes, I still love that and if you've ever studied with Kay Arthur you know about "structuring" which is Bible-study- speak for diagramming sentences.. If you really want to really, really get the most "meat" out of a verse of Scripture, structuring is the way to get there. Thanks Penny, for bringing back those memories. My most memorable book report was "Gone With the Wind". I received credit for two book on that one..LOL

I am your new follower from Friday Follow. I'm a most importantly a Bible-believing Christian woman, but I'm also the wife of a combat veteran from the Marine Corps and a Chaplain's wife, a stay at home mom for our 1.5 yr old son, and a singer/writer/amateur photographer/leaf blowing in the wind of the Spirit.

I'm very interested to read about where you stand on certain controversial issues in the church. I love to learn, love to teach, and love to meet new true believers.

I forgot to answer your question! LOL!

My favorite thing about school was the music department. I have a passion for singing/playing wind instruments/performing. Nope, that passion has not subsided one bit! lol
