Each time I would tell him, "You're so very strong!"
On the last time I asked him,
"How did you get to be so strong?"
"How did you get to be so strong?"
He just laughed and said,
"Because my Daddy told me I was strong!"
"Because my Daddy told me I was strong!"
Precious! As soon as he said this, I thought about how our Heavenly Father tells us that we are strong too! We could have so much more strength and endurance if we would just believe what He says about us.
JP will eventually learn that he can go to the Lord for strength - but for now he goes to his Daddy. Tomorrow I will talking more about this at Seeds of Faith - but for now... I have a question for ya....
Who do you go to this side of heaven for strength?
And do you feel energized just by what they say about you?

I don't know that I have someone on earth I go to for strength. I tend to have to rely on my Heavenly Father's strength when my own strength is not enough. I do, however, feel energized when people I admire praise my writing - that is always a good feeling and a pick-me-up!
OUTSTANDING! That's my boy!
Thanks for telling the story, Pen... HOO-AH!
How precious, and how true... How different things are when we begin to believe the wonderful things the Father says and knows about us!
Blessings on your day!
Hi Penny!
Thanks for your word of encouragement in my latest post! Appreciate your comment and hope you have a blessed day ahead!
Btw, love the sentence "Because my Daddy told me I was strong!" So very true!
Children trust us so easily, may we have the same trust in The LORD.
Happy iFellowship Wednesday!
I have something for you over on my blog today. Come by when you get a chance.

Lovely story, Penny! And your comments about it were wonderfully thought-provoking. It combines my two top sources of strength – God and family!

What a wonderful post, and what a wonderful boy you have! Your kids are blessed to have you for their Mommy. I go to my sisters when I'm zapped from the grime of daily living. They refresh me by listening and pointing me to God. :o) Thanks for sharing. Happy iFellowship Day! :o) Larri at Seams Inspired
So sweet and precious! Hope your iFellowship Wednesday is wonderful!
I go to my husband, your Daddy!!. He is the strongest man I know this side of heaven. He is strong physically and spiritually. I always to to him when I'm weak and tired or depressed or lacking courage to go another step. He's my hero after 45 years of marriage.
This is precious! We certainly can learn a lot of our children!
Great picture! He is super adorable!
